First night in Valencia -- July 2006

Our first night in Valencia was full of all kinds of adventures. Our car of four headed to the city right after work that day. We arrived just in time for the praying of the Rosary on the beach. It was absolutely beautiful. Later that night, we discovered that our car had been broken into, and all of our suitcases had been stolen. We would spend the rest of the night filling out police reports at the police station. Despite the set back, however, we all had a great time!

The Pope!

Theresa and I

It was an adventure for Theresa and I in Valencia. Between my Spanish and her English, everyone was able to understand each other!

Trip to Valencia to see the Pope -- July 2006

Here we all are on Sunday after Mass. On July 8th, the Pope came to Spain. It was the first time I had gone to see him, and it was a pretty emotional experience for everyone there I think.

BBKing

On July 5, 2006 a group of Americans (including me) went to see BBKing live as part of the International Jazz Festival in Collado Villalba (along with Mariano Mariano and Donna Hightower). And as the concert ended, and we were all singing You are My Sunshine, I had a revelation if you will: I get to have the best of both worlds!

Hard Rock Cafe before the BBKing Concert -- July 2006

Here we all are. We are just filling our bellys before the big concert. Yum! My choice for the night: vegi burger. I highly recommend it!
